entering the home. Its warranty covers major
appliances. It is installed by Cooperative
personnel.

the Electric Meter Hub listed above.
It is a hardwire unit that will be installed on your main circuit
breaker panel. This unit is installed by
an electrician.

They must be picked up during normal
business hours.

A transfer switch is
used to transfer a building’s wiring from normal to a standby power source. The switch is designed to isolate the Co-op lines
from the generation to avoid backfeed to the power lines.
During an outage, line worker trying to restore – or anyone who contacts a downed
line – could be seriously injured or killed by backfeed from an improperly installed
generator.
