Somerset Rural Electric prides itself on commitment to the community and our area youth. This is the 19th year Somerset Rural Electric has offered scholarships to high school seniors. These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to those students who are seeking to advance their education beyond the high school level.
In a continuing effort to reward outstanding college-bound high school seniors in our area, Somerset Rural Electric offers $1,000 scholarships once a year in the spring.
Scholarship is limited to the son or daughter of a member whose primary residence is served by Somerset REC.
The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited college or university:
Since 2002, the Cooperative has awarded 85 $1,000 scholarships.
Thank you to all seniors who applied for a scholarship.
Applications are being reviewed and winners will be announced by May.
If you will be a senior in high school Fall 2020 and Somerset REC supplies electric to your primary residence, please check back in December for a
2021 scholarship opportunity.
