Somerset Rural Electric prides itself on commitment to the community and our area youth. This is the 18th year Somerset Rural Electric has offered scholarships to high school seniors. These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to those students who are seeking to advance their education beyond the high school level.

In a continuing effort to reward outstanding college-bound high school seniors in our area, Somerset Rural Electric offers $1,000 scholarships once a year in the spring.

Competition is limited to the son or daughter of a Somerset REC member. The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited college or university: Since 2002, the Cooperative has awarded 85 $1,000 scholarships.

The application process for the 2019 scholarship given by Somerset REC is now complete. Please check back early Spring 2020 for the next opportunity for high school seniors.
