Somerset Rural Electric is committed
to making our community a better place to live. We’re local. Our employees live here
and are active in the community because they care about the quality of life where they
raise their families. We’re about service, not profits for investors who live in a
city far away from here.
We do things like put up Christmas decorations in Somerset or hang fire sirens or set
poles for area volunteer fire companies. We donate dry fire hydrant kits to fire companies
for installation in qualifying locations.
We have a program to help needy members with their electric bills. Lights On is
funded by the voluntary contributions of members who want to help those who are down on
their luck.
Your cooperative sponsors a scholarship to help college bound students.
